This was a chill game, but you will get other games that are more scrappy and preventative officiating may help reduce the need to call fouls. Identify players with plaits before tip-off. Don't turn back to scoretable to point direction so as to be ready to call subs/timeout if necessary. Stay with the play on trail (eg. If players are walking ball down the court you may walk but if they jog or run, you must also jog/run), much better in the 2nd half. Excellent use of voice, verbally supportive of team that was losing to help them stay positive and keep trying. Both looked confident reffing together. Make sure to protect ball carrier (obvious push by Blue 10 in midcourt)

02/05/2015  Dobie, Braedon  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  12:10 PM  just keep talking to the players. tell them not to foul, and then you'll find you'll have to call less. its as easy as saying 'hands off' or 'straight up'. less fouls means less work for the refs.

You need to use your voice more, be loud and confident. Save the whistle and use your voice "keep hands out" etc. This will make your job easier.
