09/05/2015  Gaudion, Kylie  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  very good in this area as well. maybe just work a bit harder on your preventative talk as it was hard to hear at times, and at that level it never hurts to talk more. in saying that though it was loud so i wasnt too worried with that.  09/10/2022
09/05/2015  Delahoy, Kyle  Moody, Daryl  Sat Am  12:10 PM  Body language ; be confident (see previous comments). Kyle works hard to cover his areas. he needs to be assessed next time on an older group (u/14) Not far off upgrade. Push your confidence/communication & you'll get there.
09/05/2015  Mitchell, Amber  Callaghan, Stuart  Saturday  11:00 AM    07/10/2019
09/05/2015  Laurie, Matt  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  looked good on court, refereed well. just work on talking to the kids and trying to prevent the fouls from happening in the first place. with this make sure you can be heard at the other end of the court. this way if you then need to call a foul after trying to prevent it they have no way to argue because you've already told them not to.  21/05/2015
08/05/2015  Laity, Brenton  Pratt, Mitchell  FRI VJBL  21:40  Looked the part, as professional as any ref could be. Just be strong, look confident, stand tall and be loud. Use the voice and talk to the players. At this level they will respond  25/11/2015
08/05/2015  Eleanor, The Artist Formerly Known as  Pratt, Mitchell  FRI VJBL  21:40  Look the part, well done  12/05/2015

04/05/2015  Herrmann, Branden  Morris, Steve  Monday  07:05 PM  Ball Watching (as above), don't bail out Offense, concentrate on your signals, out of court and 8sconds in the back court
02/05/2015  Dobie, Braedon  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  12:10 PM  just keep talking to the players. tell them not to foul, and then you'll find you'll have to call less. its as easy as saying 'hands off' or 'straight up'. less fouls means less work for the refs.
02/05/2015  Kane, Tayla  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  12:10 PM  just keep talking to the players. although it was an easy game just try and get in the habit of talking them out of fouling. a game with no fouls is what any referee wants, so if we can be proactive and talk to the players before the contact even happens we can get closer to achieving this. but if the players still do foul we've at least told them not to first and then have no way to argue with you.
02/05/2015  Thaller, Cassandra  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  01:50 PM  Get the voice louder, use your voice to save the whistle.
02/05/2015  Maddern, Sam  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  even though it was a loud stadium at that time, you need to be proactive and be talking to the players. yes it's good to call the foul when it happens, but if we can get a voice on it before contact even occurs (ie. hands up, hands off etc.) then it will make it much easier to ref, and if you still have to make a call, they have no reason to argue as you've already told them what to do. just ensure when doing this that you can be heard.
you looked very professional on court, apart from your belt which wasn't done up and could be seen hanging from under your jacket. it sounds silly but every little thing counts.

02/05/2015  Marchese, Katrina  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  02:40 PM  Make your voice louder, prevent the foul and save the whistle. Good hustle up and down the floor. Keep working hard.  12/07/2015
02/05/2015  Obersnel, Nathan  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  01:50 PM  Nathan, your fit enough to do the games but don't move because you can, move with purpose. Run to get the gap.   03/06/2015
02/05/2015  Sans, Ebony  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  02:40 PM  Make the voice loud and prevent the foul. Save your whistle when you can. "keep hands off" etc  08/12/2015
02/05/2015  Searle, Ellie  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  like we said during the game, just get a voice on the play. even before contact occurs. if we be proactive and talk to the players we have the chance to prevent the foul from even happening, which in the long run can stop players from getting fouled out. plus if we are talking to the players and they still foul, they have no reason to argue as we've already told them not to reach in or whatever they shouldn't be doing.  14/05/2015
29/04/2015  Chaplin, Blake  Morris, Steve  Wednesday  06:25 PM  Use your voice more, look for the contact in your areas of responsibility, trust your partner  02/05/2015
