09/05/2015  Laurie, Matt  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  looked good on court, refereed well. just work on talking to the kids and trying to prevent the fouls from happening in the first place. with this make sure you can be heard at the other end of the court. this way if you then need to call a foul after trying to prevent it they have no way to argue because you've already told them not to.  21/05/2015
13/12/2014  Witt, Anthony  Karwan, Ben  Sat Am  10:30 AM  Anthony uses his voice well, especially given his experience. I'd encourage him to keep this up, especially as be begins to referee more challenging games. He is very receptive to feedback and consistently looking for ways to improve.  18/06/2016
21/02/2015  Witt, Anthony  Arnold, Sharon  Sat Am  10:30 AM  quite come out of your skin mate

18/06/2016
28/06/2014  McGrath, Connor  Spicer, Barry  Sat Am  11:20 AM  Use of voice was good but avoid over using voice as players become immune to what is said. Avoid saing "don't put your hands in". As an alternative say "play good defence". Then when they foul there is no come back.
Connor's appearance is very good on court. Neat and athletic, professional appearance.
Very good trousers and referee shoes. It's great to see referees in perfect uniform.
An example to other associations.

20/08/2016  McGrath, Connor  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat Am  12:10 PM  P. Need more talk on the floor. Use preventative officiating "Keep hands off" etc. Save yourself the whistle.  08/09/2016
06/12/2014  Woods, Fraser  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  11:20 AM  Fraser has great court coverage in trail. When play is in and around area 5 concentrate on where you should be looking whether you are in trail or lead.  11/12/2014
08/11/2014  Woods, Fraser  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  11:20 AM  Use your voice more. This will help build your confidence on court. When on baseline in lead keep your eyes down and watch the players, trail will watch the basket. Good movement on court just penetrate the split line when play is over the far side.  11/12/2014
28/06/2014  Woods, Fraser  Spicer, Barry  Sat Am  12:10 PM  Better use of voice to encourage players to play within the rules is needed, easy area to improve on.
An improvement on hustle around the court to maintain angles and identify illegal contact would ensure Fraser improves his referee performance. Fraser needs to sharpen up reaction time and adjust position immediately it is necessary. Fraser's uniform is very good. Other than the length of his trousers, Fraser's uniform is very good and professional. Well done.

02/05/2015  Dobie, Braedon  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  12:10 PM  just keep talking to the players. tell them not to foul, and then you'll find you'll have to call less. its as easy as saying 'hands off' or 'straight up'. less fouls means less work for the refs.
15/08/2015  Cooper, Jules  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat Am  12:10 PM  P. Need more voice, make it loud so all can hear. "Play good D" "keep Hands out" etc. Make it loud then when they play bad D penalise them with a whistle.
15/11/2014  Jackson, Mitch  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  11:20 AM  Be careful not to drop back too far too soon you will be over running the game when you don't need to. Don't blow your whistle when its your partners side line. On these junior games - smile and enjoy yourself, they are little kids and they absorb everything refs say and do.
27/06/2015  Cookes, Josh  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  11:20 AM  P. Good transition, kept eye on players at all times. Good use of voice.
22/11/2014  Lindeman-Collins, Trav  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  11:20 AM  Trav refs well and is usually the senior ref on Sat mornings. I would like Trav to start speaking with his fellow ref when walking to court on how they will ref the game. Trav is getting into bad habits as he consistantly helps his junior refs out by making their calls.
06/12/2014  Lindeman-Collins, Trav  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  10:30 AM  Remember to watch the whole player when going to the basket and make sure you get the first foul not the second. The foul ends up on the wrong player. Remember in lead "Eyes down"
15/11/2014  Lindeman-Collins, Trav  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  10:30 AM  Use your voice more eg "hands out/off" By being preventative you would have cut down a lot of your work. Dont forget to press the split line. Very easy game for Trav.
18/07/2015  Morgan, Peyton  X, X  Sat Am  09:40 AM  P. - Continue to use your voice. It was fantastic during the game.   15/12/2016
27/06/2015  Parker, Ryan  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  11:20 AM  P. You MUST keep shirt tucked in. Good communication with your other ref. The two of you worked well together.  13/08/2015
15/08/2015  McGrath, Kyle  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat Am  12:10 PM  P. Great voice, I could hear you from the stands on K1 and it was great to hear. Just keep on using it more consistently, especially early in the game.  14/09/2016
27/06/2015  McGrath, Kyle  Spratt, Julie  Sat Am  10:30 AM  P. Communication with players was limited. When you talk to the players be preventative and not reactive. Put a little bit more volume in it.  14/09/2016
20/06/2015  Wills, Jarred  Moody, Daryl  Sat Am  12:10 PM  P. Communication ; must be firm & believe in yourself.
Identify all illegal contact and call it.
Identify travels on drive/shot.
