08/05/2015  Laity, Brenton  Pratt, Mitchell  FRI VJBL  21:40  Looked the part, as professional as any ref could be. Just be strong, look confident, stand tall and be loud. Use the voice and talk to the players. At this level they will respond  25/11/2015
08/05/2015  Eleanor, The Artist Formerly Known as  Pratt, Mitchell  FRI VJBL  21:40  Look the part, well done  12/05/2015
09/05/2015  Dielemans, Shahn  Moody, Daryl  Sat PM  01:00 PM  Consistency ; maintain the enthusiasm on lower level games.  27/09/2015
09/05/2015  Stelfox, Ben  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  03:30 PM  I thought the jump ball was fair on the out of court but try move to find the gap earlier so you can see who it last came off.

When the crowd yells out stuff like "tell him to tuck his shirt in" don't look, don't listen. They are not in charge, you are. Don't let the untrained crowd dictate your call.

09/05/2015  Brown, Corey  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  02:40 PM  Corey you were in full winter uniform which was great but you must look like you want to be on court. When the players run, you run. If they walk, then you can walk providing your not lagging behind.

You used your voice, trying to prevent the foul which was great, but you need to be louder. Use your voice to save the whistle. Talk louder "Keep hands off" etc.

09/05/2015  Gaudion, Kylie  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  very good in this area as well. maybe just work a bit harder on your preventative talk as it was hard to hear at times, and at that level it never hurts to talk more. in saying that though it was loud so i wasnt too worried with that.  09/10/2022
09/05/2015  Mitchell, Amber  Callaghan, Stuart  Saturday  11:00 AM    07/10/2019
09/05/2015  Laurie, Matt  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  11:20 AM  looked good on court, refereed well. just work on talking to the kids and trying to prevent the fouls from happening in the first place. with this make sure you can be heard at the other end of the court. this way if you then need to call a foul after trying to prevent it they have no way to argue because you've already told them not to.  21/05/2015
09/05/2015  Delahoy, Kyle  Moody, Daryl  Sat Am  12:10 PM  Body language ; be confident (see previous comments). Kyle works hard to cover his areas. he needs to be assessed next time on an older group (u/14) Not far off upgrade. Push your confidence/communication & you'll get there.
09/05/2015  Dobie, Braedon  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  02:40 PM  Braedon today you looked professional in terms of uniform but your attitude appeared to be lacking. Remember to look interested and like you want to be at the game.

You need to use your voice more, be loud and confident. Save the whistle and use your voice "keep hands out" etc. This will make your job easier.

09/05/2015  Johnston, Skye  Pratt, Mitchell  Sat PM  03:30 PM  Looked the part and reffed it well. Looked like you wanted to be on court.  05/08/2015
09/05/2015  McGrath, Connor  Moody, Daryl  Sat PM  01:00 PM  Inject you personality into your calls; eg Great block by player; sell it with great signal. Get a buzz out of it.  07/03/2016
09/05/2015  Black, Jamie  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  10:30 AM  preventative officiating was the only thing i think needed work. both of you were outstanding when it came to talking to the kids after the foul or violation, however it'd be good to see you try and prevent it from happening. try things such as 'hands off' 'straight up' 'dont reach'
this will really come in handy when you move onto more difficult games.

09/05/2015  Hammet, Jessica  Moody, Daryl  Sat Am  12:10 PM  Speak out to players, as at this level we need to educate as well as call. Continue to express yourself and confidence will continue to grow. Keep it up and the players & coaches will respond positively to you. This game was not a fair test, as it was so one-sided. Would like to see you on a higher standard of game.   01/03/2016
09/05/2015  Deayton, Max  Spratt, Ken  Sat Am  10:30 AM  talking to the kids after a call was a highlight in this game. after the call everyone knew what happened, however id like to see you get in the habit of preventing the calls needing to be made. try things such as 'hands out' 'straight up' etc.
also just try and keep your shirt tucked in. if you look the part its half the battle.

11/05/2015  SamuelsP, Paul  Warren, Ken  Monday  07:05 PM  Be consistent with all calls at both ends.   18/05/2015
11/05/2015  Warren, Adam  Warren, Ken  Monday  07:05 PM  Good effort signals need to be defined.
11/05/2015  Wilcox, Bethany  Warren, Ken  Monday  08:35 PM  It is only the 1% you need to work at. Signal to start clock and 8 sec count
13/05/2015  Alqasilias, Stavro  Moyle, Allan  Wednesday  7:40 PM  Need to do more with voice as discussed. These low level games can be controlled better by telling players what they are doing wrong(i.e. put the ball on the floor before you start moving)This also helps with your own confidence and it sells the call.  16/05/2015
13/05/2015  Ross, Tyson  Moyle, Allan  Wednesday  6:40 PM  The "decent" issue we discussed. Not a bad game. Need to get a belt for your pants.Overall you are calling well, there are improvements to consider as discussed.  18/05/2015
